How will the d line be better?

And please post the career stats and winning percentages for the 2 QB's that have taken a meaningful snap at ISU.

QB=????

Actually, forget it. I'm not gonna argue with a "know-it-all" who really doesn't know ****. I don't claim to know much, if anything about your squawks. Don't try to act like you know more about ISU than I do.

Richardson doesn't look too far off from Rudock if he had played the whole season last year. He also had more rushing yards than Rudock, in less games. Is Rudock considered an unknown too?

Typically JTS is worth 4 or 5 points for Iowa State. So even a line of -2 means we would be 6 or 7 point underdogs on a neutral field. Division 1AA champ or not, that's still an embarrassing number.

there you go again with all the negative comments about the Cyclones. you never say anything positive. always negative comments.

You don't know ISU as well as you think you do. That 2005 team was good, but it wasn't due to a ton of talent. Dobbins is the only guy that went on to have an NFL career. That team was experienced, had an easier schedule then the team does now and still only managed 7 wins, and with a lot of guys returning, followed it up with a 4-8 2006. There is more talent and depth on the roster in 2014, but it's mostly young and inexperienced.

Please.

That 2005 team was loaded (by ISU standards) on defense. Probably not one player on this defense starts for 2005 team.

There maybe more depth on the 2014 team, but for sure not more talent.

Probably best to wait a few years down the road to allow these young people to fully develop. We really don't know yet.

You're a troll.

Starting August 31st he's all yours!

My favorite is hawk fans who come to an ISU vs NDSU thread and start arguing ISU vs iowa. Then when someone brings up the hawks losing to UNI, they get mad that it's not on topic.

Cockeyes will get beat by NDSU in 2016. Mark it down. oh approve my registration over on your board, are you really that big of wussies in iowa city?

As much as we would like to see this happen, you're on the wrong board.

This could be a good football game if ISU doesnt put them away early. I just watched parts of last years NDSU @ KSU game. The entire game is on utube. That gives you a pretty good idea of the kind of team we will see.

It comes down to coaching. I don't think NDSU loses much in talent but they lost a lot in coaching. What they have now is not Coach Bohls staff or leadership. Its a largely unproven head coach that did a nice job on defense and a lot of new assistants. I think they are pretty well paid so they might be good but they have a long way to go to prove they are the equal of what they have been used to at NDSU.

Their head coach, I forget his name, was also a D coordinator at UNI. I didn't bother to look up the record but I’m sure he has been an assistant on UNI teams the visited Ames.

Talent may be equal, I give a slight edge to the Cyclones because of roster depth and experience, but coaching is decidedly not. Edge Cyclones and that might be the game because it is a 2 point affair.
