My thoughts exactly...

It sounds to me that some Cyclones are a little jealous of Iowa's good marketing skills. Iowa used the sticker to raise awareness of the struggling farmers during the 1980's. Now the tables are turned and Iowa's using the stickers to raise money for the university which is having budget cuts. I don't have a problem with it because farmers are in no way obligated to give money to them, its purely voluntary. If you think Iowa farmers are stupid enough to be duped into giving money to Iowa because of a sticker on their helmit than I'm afraid your the stupid one.

Nope, just two of them. I'm guessing that the majority of people here either don't have an opinion one way or another, or have feelings that are similar to yours.

A low move? Last time I checked, Iowa City was still in Iowa. There's thousands of farmers that are Hawk fans. Why shouldn't Iowa be able to give a "shout out" to the farmers? Quit crying about it.

Yup, and the typical response that I heard from uofi fan is that ISU should drop to MAC / C-USA or Division II. Ames (or L'Ames as your counterparts like to call it) is in Iowa too and I see the type of respect that the typical uofi fan has for fellow Iowans that don't believe as they do.

In my experience, most uofi fans like the farmer to be successful only if that farmer is a uofi fan. They actually hate the university in the state who most supports that business and would rather it just fold up and die. If HF really wanted to support farmers, why didn't he fund some scholastic opportunities for agriculture students at ISU?

For two reasons. 1. He had a football team to coach. 2. That isn't his job.

Besides, you're a law student at Drake, and you live in Beaverdale, so I'm guessing that your direct involvement in agriculture on any level is limited to buying sweet corn at the stand.

And I'm guessing this is the extent of your involvement in agriculture?
