My thoughts exactly...

what is there to like about it?

I like how the athletic department and new coach are trying to excite a fan base who have lost excitement for the program after the Alford and Lickliter eras.

Whats your brilliant idea of good marketing? Putting a billboard on I-380? How did that work out?

you said your hat couldn't be a cubs hat because it has navy blue, not a cubs color. but yet your wife's hat has pink, which is not a cubs color. I'm confused as to how you're confused?

Second time - quit attributiing you family self portraits to me. It's great that your wife is down to her cheerleading weight, but seriously.

I'll take "what is 1-3 against Iowa since then," Alex.

My response would read exactly like the article.

The U of I has done nothing whatsoever for farmers or the agricultural business, unlilke ISU, which is one of the top agricultural institutions in the world. This was done to kiss *** and sucker unattached fans away, and it probably worked. Hayden Fry was very open about his desire to make ISU completely irrelevant and destroy it. This is just another part of that.
All of this is true and makes Hayden Fry a d-bag in my book. I have no respect whatsoever for him. The senseless jabs that he made at ISU over the years when ISU was clearly down. Telling every ISU coach including DMAc that this place was a coaching graveyard. The irony of watching Darren Davis running all over Iowa in the reflection of those stupid sunglasses in his last Iowa-ISU game is a memory I cherish. BTW. Is Hayden Fox still alive:biglaugh:

I haven't bothered to read all of this thread but ANF doesn't bother me at all. It was a shrewd move by Fry and I consider criticism of it to be sort of sour grapes.

That said; what would be so terrible about ISU starting to use it too (and UNI for that matter)? I think it would be a very cool expression of solidarity for farmers from the regent universities. That way we can make the statement to fans in three conferences.

You're right. I was in the military. If you want to address the point that I was trying to make, that would be fantastic.

I know a lot of people who both spent time in the military and attended ISU. It's not mutually exclusive. In fact, ISU has a wonderful military tradition with one of the top ROTC programs in the country.

And no, I don't really feel like addressing the point you were trying to make, because I wasn't addressing you earlier. I was responding to cycrazy.

Who says it hasn't?

Yeah, I guess if people are still talking about a billboard from three years ago, it worked pretty damn well.
