I usually go to 3 Bulls games a year. And a few Iowa energy games. Monte all ready gets chewed up when he tries to drive to the hole. IMO he is no where close to being ready to step on the court with those athletes. He would get eaten alive.

Monte is working hard this off season. He's doing four workouts a day according to Hines.http://m.amestrib.com/sports/men-s-basketball-past-and-future-fuel-morris-offseason
Here's a list of Iow State players who have played in the NBA. Sorting by games played the list would be:Not doing any research, what Iowa State men's basketball player had the longest tenure in the NBA?
A blind assumption:
1.) Jeff Hornacek
2.) Fred Hoiberg
3.) Calvin Cato
4.) Jamal Tinsley
Can anyone validate if true?
Statistic gurus..
I do think Monte Morris will have a long career in the NBA.

It is an interesting statistic. There is no doubt Jeff Hornacek is the longest tenured NBA player who played college ball for the Cyclones. After that, it becomes a little murky. If you count the NBDL time Jamal Tinsley spent with the Los Angeles Defenders for two seasons and run it concurrent with his career in the NBA, it would give him roughly 12 seasons. If not you could throw him in the lot of Hoiberg and Cato with spending 10 years in the NBA respectively. It's hard to believe Calvin Cato spent that many years in the Association. Big men have a tendency to stick longer in the association it seems. Sam Mack also had a decent run in the NBA as well.
I like this stat also. It's a Sunday, won't give you to bad a time. It's Kelvin Cato. :swoon: I forgot Cato was the 15th pick overall.

Monte has already been showing he can take over games.
