One thing I hated about walking across campus at night were those lights that actually seemed to go out when you got near them instead of on.

Yea it is! However, I think it's one of those movies that will unfortunately inspire a bunch of copycat kids that miss the part of the movie where the kid gets himself killed.

thats why i watch man vs wild. i learn how to survive from the best.

on another note does he have a car? have they found that? i havent heard anything other then he has been missing for a week.

Somebody tried to tell me once that they were actually wired that way as a campus violence deterrent. Something about the shadows not being in the same place all the time. Sounded like BS to me, but who knows.

was the person that told you that also wearing a hemp necklace/berkinstocks in winter, possibly an employee at west street deli, rode some crappy old single speed bike that goodwill rejected, and had other conspiracy theories like "why the government doesn't want marijuana legalized"?

Those lights always freak me out. I don't get much work done in my apartment so I'm usually at the library until 9:30pm or later and walk home to campustown. Usually have at least 2 lights "go out" on me as I get close. Always makes ya flinch a little.

:biglaugh:

Sorry. Most street lights cycle to keep them from overheating and burning out. People just don't see the lights cycle unless they are walking by.

I'm watching the news report...I guess his cell phone has been turned off since he went missing, and no atm transactions.

I hope they find a clue or something soon!

Or his phone is dead. Man I hop this doesn't turn out horrid, although I can't imagine how it wouldn't

Just because he lived at Buchanan didn't mean he was heading home that night. I remember a couple of times when I lived in Buchanan that after parties I walked past LaVerne on the dirt path to the South of the lake through the woods and on into campus to go to Frederiksen. Yes, I was drunk enough to walk all the way. If this does happen to be a LaVerne situation again like Abel, I think they might just need to fence off the area, cuz ***** ******!

Or "The War in Vietnam was just a cover for the CIA operations in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand to harvest marijuana in order to keep the hippies from becoming a viable political force?"

Or "Napoleon invaded Russia because of the massive hemp fields?"
