Why would Iowa be above Ohio St? They both lost to Michigan St and Ohio St's win over Michigan holds far more weight than Iowa's win over Northwestern. I think Ohio St and Stanford get the Rose.

Lol no. Not a chance. OSU plays a better schedule than Iowa. Both end up with one loss to the same. Default to OSU
 
I don't understand the butt hurt by Iowa fans that ISU fans rooted for Sparty. Fans of rival teams rarely root for their rival. Not only due to hating the team, it'll keep their fans quieter.

In Iowa's case, many Iowa fans were rooting for the Big 12 to break apart, which would have sent ISU to the AAC, CUSA, or MWC. That's a far worse offense and really stupid since it would have cost the state of Iowa money and jobs going to a lesser conference. As much as I dislike Iowa, I would wish them to a lower conference. There's no way I could root for anything Hawkeye.

When Iowa State suffers a devastating, heartbreaking loss (and... there have been a few), I never think to amble over to a rival's message board. I figure I just don't need to indulge myself in the schadenfreude going on there. More power to those who want that experience, I guess, but I just don't get it.

I can tell you this Iowa fans: That pit in your stomach of "what if?" when you see Sparty will STILL be just as strong in 15 years.

STFU and go away. I wanted Iowa to lose because I do not like hok fans. You played an easy schedule in a weak conference. Get over yourself. Posting here is pathetic.

No no go hoks, no let's be friends. You got beat by an average team that had a qb that had a hurt arm. I hope you end up blaming Houston and don't get picked for the rose bowl.

After not being able to move the ball the entire second half and losing they don't deserve to be in over Ohio State who just dominated Michigan the last time they played

If Ohio State passes Iowa to get the Rose Bowl, I will be amused by my Iowa friends who were so adamant that the committee gave OSU appropriate respect last year to jump TCU who inevitably respond... differently.

You know who really is the true little brother when after a heartbreaking loss, all Iowa fans can do is think about ISU. They are 12-1 and likely heading to the Rose Bowl, yet they have the insecurity to blame and make fun of ISU. Losers.
 
Ventured to HN this morning (mistake). Virtually every poster is certain that Iowa will be ahead of Ohio State and go to the Rose Bowl. I'm not sure if that is a coping mechanism or not. It's definitely possible, but far from guaranteed. Some Iowa fans are setting themselves up for two losses in two days if they get announced into the Fiesta or Peach Bowl today.

All the bandwagon Hawk fans couldn't even fill Kinnick 5 out of 7 home games in an undefeated year. What makes you think they are all going to California?
