Person 2: Really?!? Don't you understand that ISIS is in America? Why would you even think about those things when you should be thinking about the terrorists? Also the glaciers are melting and too many immigrants.
I wasn't cheering for Iowa yet I was yelling at my TV for them to let Michigan State walk into the endzone at the 2 minute mark when they were on the 2 yard line. Because it seemed like the right move.
I don't get why coaches never do this. It's the same story every time: the team WILL score with their 4 chances, and you'll lose some to all of the time you could have had to score.
Let MSU walk in, and you have two minutes to grab a field goal and head to OT, or even hope for a break out play to win the game outright. Yes, there's a chance you stop them for four downs or they fumble, but would you put those odds above, say, 10%? Their defense was strong most of the game, but was clearly gassed at the end.

The majority of the country expected Stanford to win and be ahead of Iowa after tonight.

Looked at their 2016 schedule, they don't have to play OSU or MSU next year either.

Considering the post I was responding to was talking specifically about Iowa's ability to bring fans to Pasadena, I'd say my post was perfectly reasonable. I wasn't making any assumptions about where Iowa ultimately ends up.
Although I do think they'll stay ahead of OSU after tonight's performance. Stanford moves to 5, Iowa falls to 6. After the way they played tonight, they absolutely deserve to stay ahead of Ohio State.
