Matt Thomas predictions

Fred hasn't concluded that. Why should we?

Who's going to play over him? Naz, and Bryce need to rest and Matt is the only guy on the bench to come in for them. If Hallice was eligible now, he would be getting that PT. He is starting to show improvement, which will be good for this team down the stretch, but Hallice and Burton are taking his spot next year unless he improves drastically.

Matt is going to get plenty of PT next year.

One of the things that has helped during Fred's tenure is having a great scout team. I would love to see him redshirt next year and lead the scout team. He could Continue his maturation and development and finish the last two years being the impact player we know he can be.

Didn't someone post his high school shooting percentages a few weeks ago? Those numbers were not great either.

It seems that the hope was that we'd be able to transform him into a great shooter.

Must have been slim pickins for the McDonald's AA 3 point contest then his senior year.

Matt would probably not go for that. If he was told he would have to redshirt, he would probably just transfer.

Didn't Niang say something in the SI article about how Thomas is the next coming of Holberg in the players' eyes?

Consistent or not, he's a legit threat, and teams still have to be honest on him. I think he's best when he's given some space to create for himself and really control the timing of the shot.

I also feel more comfortable watching him handle in the open court when other teams press, compared to others.

You would've said the same thing about Melvin Ejim during his sophomore year. Players improve as their careers progress. Look at Frank Kaminsky. I'm not saying Matt is going to be the best player in the country like Kaminsky, but I don't think I've ever seen someone this close to being a great player before. His shot looks great, he just thinks too much. He has the physical tools to make the NBA. He just needs to put it together, and next year will be a great opportunity, even with Cooke on the team.
How many 6'3"-6'4" white guys w/o PG skills or big-time athleticism are there in the NBA right now? (Please don't say JJ Redick)

Nobody has even seen Cooke or Burton play yet, and Cooke is coming off a hip surgery. Calling either of them locks to take Thomas's Pt next year is baseless

Ahhhh, I forgot the NBA has a rule that says only 6'3-6'4 black guys are allowed, thanks for reminding me.

Neither of them are taking Matt Thomas' 5 min a game. But they're both going to be taking some of Hogue and BDJ's minutes. If Thomas is still here, he'll probably keep his 5.

Jason Sehorn got it. and he has a hot wife.
Think about it Matt!!!! you would make an awesome corner back for us and a couple years in the NFL playing for the Tennessee Titans would be sweet.

Name the 6'3 anybody who doesn't PG skills or big-time athleticism in the NBA right now then

I haven't said Matt is going to be an NBA player. He's got potential though. Everyone can see that. I think he's a better athlete than you're giving him credit for. He's never going to be an NBA hall of famer but NBA teams love guys who can shoot the three. Matt needs to start hitting 3's consistently, but he's got good form and a pretty quick release. He has NBA potential, I don't really think there's any question. Not right now, but in a couple years if he knocks down 3's at a higher clip and defends better, he's got serious NBA potential.

Really? What was wrong with what I said? Instead of being a **** and posting a picture like that, how about you actually explain what makes you think Matt has no shot at the NBA? You know, actually have a discussion about it.
