The first time he carries the ball, go for his ankle. Knock him out of the game and put Lee in!!!

I don't underestimate his arm but I would rather take my chances with him throwing than him running. Nebraska's receivers are okay but nothing special and have shown the ability to drop the ball.I think people are underestimating his arm. He is not a great passer, and is clearly a better runner than a passer. But in the several games I've seen, he throws an extremely accurate deep ball. We've seen in a few games our DB's get beat deep but the throws were off. I think this could be the biggest key for tomorrows game. If we can limit Martinez to just running that will be huge.
He was downgraded yesterday from starter to game-time decision. I honestly dont think he takes a snap.He will play.... We better have a plan in place to stop him and Helu or our score will look as bad as KSU and Mizzou's did. They scored 51 on OSU for goodness sake. The Nubs will be throwing everything at us and I hope we can stay close enough to have a chance at the end.
doesn't matter...you gameplan for him and then adjust to Lee if you need to. If Lee plays then instead of hitting Mrtinez on every play, you hit HeluHe was downgraded yesterday from starter to game-time decision. I honestly dont think he takes a snap.
I agree, but Pelini might be playing his cards here. You wonder first off if he is providing the correct injury for Martinez as they thought it was first a bone bruise. Then all of a sudden its a sprain? Big difference. So Rhoads spends the whole week planning for Martinez and he doesnt see the field. We need to be ready for both. Lots of NU fans and people from Omaha dont think Martinez will play at all.doesn't matter...you gameplan for him and then adjust to Lee if you need to. What's been fun about watching TMart this year is that IMO, he's developing into a true dual threat QB.
In the Texas game 3 weeks ago, Texas stuffed the LOS and dared TMart to throw, which he did. His passing numbers would've been off the chart if not for the dropped passes and then comes back the following week at Okie St. with 5 TD passes and 435 yards of total offense, 300+ via the air.
I honestly don't know if TMart will play or not tomorrow, you guys know as much as I do on the situation. However, if TMart is unable to go, i've got complete faith in Zac Lee. Yes, Zac is not the runner that TMart is, but there's plenty of other weapons on that offense besides just Helu, not to mention the OLine is really really becoming a solid unit. In addition to being on the road in a hostile environment, Zac will bring leadership and calmness to the huddle.

I'm listening to the Husker Tailgate show on 1620thezone.com out of Omaha, and they just predicted that Taylor Martinez will not be starting tomorrow. The guys in their round table think it'll be Cody Green instead. They don't think Roy Helu will get 20 carries either. They're saying it will be more of a running back by committee approach.
Today's a fun day to be working in Omaha. I can rub in the 9-7 ISU victory for one more day. I'm hoping and praying that tomorrow is a good day for the good guys so I can hold onto bragging rights forever more.
