The shockwave that goes through their bodies on that hit...

We were in northern Minnesota, driving the backroads, my youngest BIL driving. I thought I saw a dog pop up out of a field about 50 yds from us. My brain was telling my mouth to say "Hey, watch out for that dog," but it came out "Hey, watch out fOR THAT BEAR!" "Teenaged" black bear ran across the road. Wasn't a cub, but wasn't full-sized either. Gangly, too.

Bears without their fur look strikingly human.

When I was in Canada, our training said "If it's a black bear, make noise and try to scare it away. If it's a grizzly, curl up in a ball and hope it doesn't kill you."

I saw moose, black bear, and lynx when I was up there. Moose was the scariest, by far. I didn't see a timberwolf, unfortunately. I've seen them in zoos. I always thought they were just like a dog. They are not. They are enormous.

About 7 or 8 years ago in our suburb of Minneapolis, a man reported a lost Wallaby on Craigslist. Everybody thought this was a joke. Soon after, a person called the police early in the morning to report a kangaroo hopping down the road near a bus stop. Can you imagine seeing a kangaroo hopping past you in the Upper Midwest?

In the dark corners of the 'web, people claim there are wild roo's in the US

I've always thought about starting a kangaroo ranch in the US. But mine would focus more on the 'eating' of the animal.

Yeah the kangaroo and the dog werent fighting. I would have to assume if the Kangaroo wished that dog harm, it would have had no problem beating the dog into a pulp.
eh IDK. Kangaroos have very sharp claws and like the video says the roo almost kicked the dog at the end which would've sliced the dog's belly right open. Roos are not meant to be messed with and it could've easily killed that dog.

The guy that actually punched the Kangaroo is a zoologist and he even said if they didn't do something the dog was probably going to get killed. roos can be very territorial and are not fond of animals especially dogs which to Roos probably seem like dingos.

Are they protected? Think I would have shot it instead of punching it.
