I don;t disagree with your larger point, but what do you think it looks like when inferior talent is playing superior talent? Pretty much Malou's videos. Now he isn't against people as good as him, but we don't have a single player on the team that can crossover drive the lane, and one handed tomahawk it besides maybe Burton. I'd have taken him in a minute.
Never said I wouldn't have taken a chance on him. We had a scholarship available so I was cool with that. What I did say was:
1) if it was between taking a Malou or another proven 5th year grad transfer at the same position, I'd take the grad transfer
2). I'm not convinced from his limited videos that he would have been an all star player for us
3). I don't consider losing him a loss because we weren't even sure what we were getting and there are always players available given the current environment that is NCAA hoops
