Mad Fran to Razorbacks?

He basically said there was nothing to the rumors of him being linked to any jobs after Toledo lost to Western Michigan at the end of the 2015 season. Well we all know that wasn't true.
Pretty much a requirement IMO. If he answers yes.and doesn’t get the gig he probably just wrecked his recruiting class or at least hurt it.

That’s why coaches lie about this stuff

It sounds like he's looking to get out of Iowa City based on what I've heard

I can understand that from his perspective. At this point there is not a lot of fan support for his program and not a lot of momentum on the recruiting trail to expect a lot of improvement. If he is going to coach at a new school he need to jump now due to his age and off the NCAA tourney. He probably knows a lateral move to a program like Arkansas isn't going to improve in the future.

We can laugh at Fran's coaching, recruiting and antics but he is a shrewd business man. I give him that.

After the WMU loss, Campbell was asked to comment about the rumors of him possibly being interviewed for the Missouri job.

"I haven't talked to anybody. I have zero interest in anything other than this football team and being its head football coach, and that's always been my stand on that. This is really important to me and doing it the right way, and getting this thing to where it needs to be is really important to me"

Jamie Pollard, athletic director for Iowa State, flew to Detroit on November 27. It's pretty obvious that rumors about him interviewing Campbell are true, but there was another rumor saying that Dino Babers was also in consideration for the position.

He didn't talk to Pollard until after that game. That's been very public. Lol

I guess your version of zero interest in anything but the Toledo football team and my version of zero interest in anything but the Toledo football team are different.

He has said he had no intentions of leaving Toledo until Pollard sold him on ISU. This is a horrible comparison. Fran's camp met with Arkansas and he flat out lied about it. CMC didn't lie when he said he hadn't met with anyone it was very well known he wasn't going to talk to anyone before the conference championship game

The story has been documented by both Campbell and Pollard that Campbell did not talk to anyone prior to the championship game. Pollard flew to Toledo in hopes he would get a meeting with Campbell and his wife. He got the meet and closed the deal.

I know he's a homer but I didn't expect to see him defending Fran and him flat out lying to Howe

So hours after saying he had zero interest in anything other than the Toledo football team he agrees to a deal to coach at ISU?
