Low Calorie Meals

My go to chili recipe:

brown 1 lb of lean ground beef (we use 96/4 or 93/7). Seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper.
1 onion
Add 1 one bottle of beer after onions are soft
1 can green chilis
1-2 cans beans (we use one black, one kidney)
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 package corn
1 large can of tomato sauce (you can use a large can of tomato juice if you like thinner chili)
1 jalepeno
2 packets chili powder seasoning
Cayenne and crushed red pepper to achieve desired heat

Let is simmer on low for an hour.

This may sound weird and it probably is, but it worked for me so I'll throw it out there.

I was in a bad habit of stopping at Casey's in the morning for breakfast pizza or a croissant sandwich. Partly because it's fast and convenient and partly because I just like pizza and breakfast sandwiches.

Instead, I would wash a russet potato and microwave it. Then wrap it in a couple napkins or paper towels and bring it along in the car in the morning. Just nibbling on it on the way to work with your breakfast beverage (it's kinda dry) worked for my breakfast. Yeah, it has carbs, but since it's plain it really has very few calories and fat. And the carbs gave me that "I actually ate something" feeling so the satisfied feeling lasted through the morning.

I don't do quite the same, but I do two pieces of dry white toast (thanks Blues Brothers!) and usually a glass of milk or orange juice for breakfast. Depending on the juice, it can have some calories and sugars, but still overall less than a bowl of cereal or something.

I'm no health expert but here's what I had for dinner tonight.
2 bowls of homemade jambalaya
1 bottle of cabernet
Couldn't be happier with how "healthy" I feel right now.

We have been eating six meals a day. basically smaller portions of protein and carbs throughout the day and as many veggies as you want. For suppers I mainly cook 3lbs of chicken breast for the week. I get out a 9X13 pan and alternate my spices for the bottom then place the chicken in the pan and cover the top with the matching spices.

I try to eat 1-2 oz of protein and around 20ish grams of Carbs. So the rest of supper has veggies and a carb such as a sweet potato, regular potato, bread, or fruit.

Here are two examples:
