Let's say...

I think you're on to something. We should schedule 3 Big10 teams in the non-conference and that would take us halfway to a bowl game.

Excellent idea. Iowa, Purdue, Indiana. Happy to go on the road as we play better there.

ISU beats KU and TTU and falls to TCU and WVU. That puts the boys at 4-8 on the season. Looking back at what you knew about this team before the season started would you have considered that a success? a push? or a disappointment?

I'm curious how everyone feels. In all honesty, I was expecting that with all we lost on the defensive side of things, that ISU would be in between a 3-9 finish and a 5-7 finish. Anything more would be gravy, anything less would be bad.

If they finish 4-8 then they'll have exceeded my expectations. I had them at 3-9 going into the season. Take a look back at the preseason prediction threads - most posters had them between 1-5 wins. That's not an indictment or endorsement of Rhoads. I'm just saying that most fans knew we were in for at least one more down year. 2015 is the make or break season for the Rhoads era and it has been since before this year started.

Screw 4 wins. Let's win out. KU and TTU are possible and we almost took TCU last season. If this team plays like they did against KSU and we get a few bounces... we go freaking bowling. No reason to settle for less.
