Kasongo commits

Here is his backstory:

Committed to Oregon
Didn't qualify and went juco for freshman season (Southern Idaho)
Went to Tennessee for sophomore season - barely played (5.5 min/game)
Now coming to ISU to sit one and play two

Never mind the fact we signed 3 high school players this class. I guess math is hard for Hawk Fans.

Anyways, I like this addition. High ceiling, and worst case is he's another big body to throw in with Lard and Young.

Fixed that for ya.

Inb4 "4 schools in 3 years must be a head case do not want." Because, no, really, I do want this guy.

I like it, don't love it. Great for depth, but hopefully won't be relied on to do too much. If he's at least Edozie-level serviceable I'm fine with it.

Who needs math when you have a cash register right in front of you?

It's better than forwards going Postal.

Very clever. Like.

He looks a lot for fluid than Edozie. Edozie was big and fairly athletic, but played rigid. Kasongo moves more like Hogue to me. A little bigger, probably not quite as quick and not as skilled offensively as Hogue though.

Not ready to claim him to be a recruitment home run, but I trust the staff's evaluation of him and am excited at the inside presence he'll give us (as well as a top quality practice player for the upcoming season). Welcome to Focus Town, Mr. Kasongo!

I was amused by the hawk fan saying ISU is garbage. I guess that means Iowa can't even make it as trash men, because it's been a long time since they've been able to take the garbage out.
