Kasongo commits

So important questions:

When does he move to Ames?

Any chance they can get him in any cap city games?

The key for Kosango is developing a couple go-to post moves and post footwork during his redshirt year. The kid already appears to have a Big12 ready body and above average athleticism to be a good rebounder, post defender and rim protector.

We have the building blocks for 2017/18 with Jackson, Long, Babb, Carter, Lard, Young and Kosango. We still need a HS post player in next years class, but Kosango's addition allows the staff to focus on perimeter players.

And I thought the amateur scouts on this board were bad. It's horrible over on the scout site

older guys will agree, this signee looks better than some of the bums we have had--Aaron Agnew, Greg Hester, Andrew Skogland, etc

Looks like a lot of butt hurt Hawks because he isn't a HS kid...freaking waa.

This pick up makes zero sense to me. He posted terrible stats on a worse team.

Anyone got anything besides pure hope?

Anyone got anything better than that?? Burton and babb are horrible comparisons.

If you're excited because you're a blind fan, thats fine, but this the team is losing Fred recruits and this is their replacement. That should logically scare you.

He will next year. Technically, I believe his status this fall is true junior. The required year out will be his redshirt year. So then in 17-18 when he starts playing he'll be a redshirt junior. That is why I think it makes more sense to have him listed as junior status
The scholly chart is when they graduate. He will be with Carter so should be listed in that class. That is how it is done.

Deonte Burton also had unimpressive numbers at Marquette. I don't know what people expect anymore.

Lol, you don't know what people expect? Well ISU is a perennial top 25 school so I think it's okay to expect more than 1 pt a game.

ISU has a solid core with a deep bench for 2016-2017. This is Prohmball not Hoiball. Fred is long gone. Not sure why people have to keep going back to that.

He obviously has a lot of talent. So the hope is that he can be a serviceable Big 12 big man in a year. Will that come to fruition? Maybe not. But that's why there are 13 spots.

How is it a terrible comparison? Your reason for not liking the pickup was because he had bad stats for a bad team. That's it. It wasn't he's undersized, can't shoot, too slow, etc. it's because, by your own admission, he had bad stats on a bad team. Babb had two points per game in 32 games for Penn State. Based on your reasoning for it being a bad pickup, it's a perfect comparison.

If you want to say you don't like the pickup for a reason that's not dumb, feel free to and it may be harder to find a comparison.

Who cares about our bench next year!!!!! He can't even play!!! We will feast next year on Fred's players!!
