Most people know not to judge DL picks until year three.I'd say it's a little bit of both. To a degree it's concerning you "waste" a first round pick on a guy that can't even see the field but part of the reason he isn't is due to the pieces and roster spots in front of him.
Karlaftis got a lot more snaps last year but really didn't do a whole lot. This year he's an integral piece of the defense and the line rotation. If Uzomah doesn't get on teh field next year then that was a massive waste of a pick.

Two straight weeks of playing in brutal cold or very cold is going to take its toll.Ooh boy the injuries are starting to pile up:
Mike Edwards, Trey Smith, Isiah Pacheco, Joe Thuney, Willie Gay and Derrick Nnadi didn't practice today.
This list doesn't include Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney either. They aren't important anymore though.
Thuney and Gay and Edward’s seem to be the big question marks. Gay seems likely to play, Thuney won’t, and Edward’s is a concussion so who knows.Ooh boy the injuries are starting to pile up:

Mike Florio has been pounding the drum that Andy Reid will retire if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
There's no way he retires with a prime Mahomes unless things just fall apart with him health/personal wise.Yeah it’s weird. People were doing the same
Thing last year but people that cover the team that have said they have heard nothing about that
