I figure if they take him they would probably use him like they did Melvin Ingram to start at least.
Dude's tiny. Listed as even shorter than Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman. Been consistently ranked around early 20's in many mock drafts, so it would take moving up to get him.
Clark is about 275 and an every down DE. McDonald would be a situational pass rusher.
Reid had some success with DeSean Jackson who was the same height. Same with Jeremy Maclin who wasn’t much taller.
The NFL radio channel reported that the Chiefs had the WR from TCU in earlier in the week to work with Mahomes and see if they liked him.
If the Chiefs are bringing in these WR to work out with Mahomes, they know that neither will be there when they draft at 31, they must be planning on moving up in the draft. Which would be the thing to do with the draft in KC, get the home crowd excited and talking, instead of waiting till the last pick in the first round.

I think Q Johnston from TCU is intriguing and it may not take much of a move to get him. I have seen some mocks that do not even have him as a first round pick, and I heard an assessment on local radio that some think he lets too many footballs get into his body.
I saw a tweet, can't remember the source, that said look for the Chiefs to try and trade CEH and a 3rd to Arizona for DeAndre Hopkins.

That seems like a pretty light package for Hop but would we have enough cap room by just moving CEH?
Doubt it. CEH is set to make just under $2 million and KC has somewhere between $2-4 million in cap space depending on where you look. DHop has a base salary of around $20 million. It's way better to play the waiting game to see if the Cardinals just release him. Then they could try to sign him to an OBJ like contract with a low base salary.
No. I imagine a new contract would be a must. Kick the can (cap hit) down the road!
The only way the Chiefs can afford to trade of Hopkins is a huge bonus spread out over four or five years with a low salary of 2 or 3 million. He wants out of Arizona, KC would be a perfect landing spot for him, we have the draft capital and a cheaper type player that Arizona can use.

Signing Chris Jones to an extension would help the Chiefs’ salary cap situation. I’m kind of surprised they haven’t already done that.
