Sure, but turnovers were tracked too. It's not that the data isn't there to run.

I'm just parroting what I hear that it's only been an official ncaa stat since the late 90s. To my knowledge it is not easy to look up all players in NCAA history's ratio. If it was I'd love to look at it. Would be cool to see.

Either way its impressive that in 20 years nobody is even close to him.

At this point, Monte is getting all kinds of recognition for not getting recognition (and he deserves every bit of it).

I reckon I love the recognition for not being recognized.

The thing that never seems to ever be mentioned - Monte Morris probably has the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the whole history of basketball during his career at ISU.

Maybe it's because A:TO is a really hard metric, on it's own, to qualify. Why is the "Morris v Tinsley" conversation even a discussion if A:TO ration is a huge factor? If it was, there would be no conversation, because Monte, statistically, blows JT out of the water.

There is obviously some of that. BUT, he said Monté has had the best CAREER. I could see KU fans rightfully being ticked if he was talking ONLY about this year. Mason made great strides from last year to this year - but his career is not as good as Man-Man's. Gottlieb is spot on with his assessment.

Don't underestimate their level of insecurity. They have small man disease about everything. But most are hayseeds from ******* Kansas so it's understandable.
