Anyone else hear him say that Morris should win the Cousy award? I guess nobody told him he got left off. I think that says a lot about how bogus the selection of these awards are. He didn't know the top 5 ad still put Morris at the top.

Also think there should be some Morris for POY talk as well.

How in the world could you leave Monte Morris out of the Cousy award. not one of the other candidates even come close to his body of work as a player. sad !

Here are the five finalists for the 2017 Bob Cousy Award:

Lot of blue there.

Mason is a different type of player but worthy. Ball is incredible as a scorer or facilitator.

The other 3 are a GIGANTIC joke to be on a list of point guards over Monte this year. NWG's #s are all worse than Monte's playing against scrub teams for 2/3s of the season. Evans from OK State is better than those 3 as well, like Ball as a scorer or facilitator he's better.

If you're just talking true point guard skills, Monte is #1. There's zero doubt. No question. Nobody else is even in the discussion.

Only logical reason I can think of is that they didn't want more than 1 from the same conference. Either way, what a joke. Losing Monte will hurt more than losing Niang imo

Can someone remind me who won COY again? Because I think there should be another vote...

So true. This isn't the "Best Guard" award. If that was the case, Monte probably wouldn't make the top ten. But if Monte isn't the National PG of the year, than what on earth is a point guard for?

Uh, I would say Jalen Brunson is on ANY list of top 5 point guards. But so is Monte. You may have a heavy Big 12 bias.
