ISU @ Colorado Postgame

I like the play call... Only bad thing, I knew we would probably run it so they did to. It had been getting us at least three all day...

Our offense looked good at times. I'm very excited about the future of ARob, he looked very good. AA played well also.

Our secondary needs to have some major shake ups of some kind. We can't continue down the same path.

It looked like the altitude got the D-Line towards the end of the game, just didn't have the legs to keep rushing.

Re: ISU @ Colrado Postgame

Can't say much. I hope we (the fans) show up for Missouri, because the team needs it. They've come so close.

Next year will be a big year.

Loving the enthusiasm, but all I have seen on the field this year is a team that needs a talent upgrade at just about every position and manages to find a fun new way to lose week after week.

I will say, had we tried to stuff it up the middle and didn't get it, there would be fans here demanding for the option play that worked earlier in the game.

Questionable call - but I'd guess - based on our short yardage play this year - up the gut would've yielded the same result. PA to the right and a toss to the FB or TE back left would've worked, I think.

Holy Cow, I wish I had your optimism...

Re: ISU @ Colrado Postgame

if given a chance, we will fold every time.
Yeah boys the clones folded like a cheap suit in the second half..Until Chizik either gets a better defense or fires the defensive coordinator ...You better get ready to lose and lose again and again!!:biglaugh:

Re: ISU @ Colrado Postgame

No reviews?! Really? At the end of all of these games I'm left hanging.

1. Should have reviewed the first down at the 5.
2. Should have reviewed to see if we score TD
3. Should have thrown a flag for delay of game and then we get another play from the 5.

How many times, how many years do we keep getting screwed.

Re: ISU @ Colrado Postgame

I'm not one to run to the computer after a loss like this usually, but this has gone on too long.

I leaned over to my buddies right before the last play and said, no joke, watch McFarland run an option since it worked once already today.

I am tired of this bs playcalling and general coaching. It's unimaginative, uncreative and damn right predictable.

Don't even get me started on the defense. Hello Bolt...you can see that your base defense is not working...call a timeout and regroup. Instead, we were confused at the line of scrimmage, not ready nearly half the plays and got burned on the hook and zone packages. Unacceptable this late into the season.

I have been a fan for a long time, but this is one of the worst products on the field I have ever seen and it's getting worse.

I often joke with my friends on days like this about how the coaches must have purchased a How to Dummy's guide to coaching. It looks like they haven't got to the chapter where it says it's ok to be creative and attack the opposing team's weaknesses.

I am tired of watching us allow opposing teams and opposing quarterbacks to look like Heisman quality players.

Enough is enough. I have always been behind our team and have been supportive. Things need to change for me to be as committed as I have been for many years. Period.

This leaves a sick feeling in my gut! So close. We just HAVE to make better coaching decisions / play calls / coverage calls...

Plus... where are the reviews in this game? Some games there are reviews all the time and this game 1 review and there should have been a few more.

I'm all for understanding we are rebuilding... but I just can't believe we can have a D1 Defense that is this pathetic - wrong defenses called, poor coverage, confusion...

We should have won this with a full back lead up the middle... those were working!

My wife thinks I'm going crazy. She's just like "oh well." I'm freaking out with my fists pounding the floor cussing.

Anther thing I noticed in the second half was that there were alot less blitzes from the defense. We knew they were going to be passing, why not use some blitz packages?

After what we've been through so far, you would think our clock management would improve.

And I'm not even referring to the last drive. The drive before we gave up the last touchdown, the delay of game killed the whole thing.

Also, A-Rob ran toward the sideline, and rather than fight for yardage, he slid down to stay in bounds for the clock to run. Those type of conservative, try not to lose plays, well, end up in a loss. I'd much rather go for the kill.

Also, despite what happened, we could have went for it on fourth down at mid field. Beings the series before Colorado gashed us in the no-huddle (and our guys were gassed - could have used a time out for our D on that drive), I'd much rather have tried to make our own destiny.

Well, our offense (after a good kickoff return) really stepped up. A Rod had a great run, but something within my being said to that he needed to score. I hate it when that something is right.

So damn pissed right now...
