ISU +8.5 at KU

Iowa State hasn't been blown out by anyone this year. They've kept every game close. I don't expect this to be any different. If I'm betting on the line, I would take the ISU side.

The senior night thing is actually why I figured it would be a little lower than normal, teams usually play a bit different in that situation. I won't be touching this either way.

I get the senior night thing but I believe KU has not lost on senior night since 1984

Plenty to play for. Seeding in the Big 12 tourney for one. Although, with so much up in the air, it is hard to see which seed is the best one available to root for, and admittedly that seeding isn't a huge concern. But beating the #1 team in the nation for the second time this season (and this time on the road on one of the most storied courts in the nation) would be huge for where they end up putting us in the big dance.

The NCAA seeding committee seems to make interesting choices for some of their selections every year, and whether or not they actually do, it seems like they often reward those who show that they have a hot streak or signature win at the end. A win at Lawrence may go a long way in improving our seeding, or at the very least where they put us to play.

Both teams are going to come out ready to play. Kansas may be able to harness their senior night to put a licking on the Cyclones, but I have a lot of hope that the Clones come out hungry and focused and make it a really great game tomorrow. I'm certain that no one in either locker room tomorrow is going into this game thinking that there isn't a ton to play for. The Cyclones have a chance to prove to the nation, league, and themselves that they deserved those pre-season and early season accolades. A win doesn't change who wins the conference crown, but to sweep the conference champs would be an incredible accomplishment and really create a ton of momentum going into the post season.

They could start getting things on the right foot by stomping on the accelerator from the very start and force Self to burn a timeout to get his senior scrubs who are starting out of the game.

Jamari Traylor, Perry Ellis, Hunter Mickelson, Evan Manning & either Graham or Mason

I'm not a professional gambler, but I know enough that, you either bet ku here or you don't touch it.

Only way you put real money on Iowa St, is if you think they can win. Don't touch a back door cover when it comes to ku, at AFH on senior night, and against Iowa St.

There you go.

I personally think it's disrespectful of our team. At Hilton, we beat them fairly easily once we got going. That line says KU is 22 points better at home.

that was when KU was in their funk....now KU is playing their best ball of the season so far. can the same be said for Iowa state?

Sadly, that's not a terrible lineup against our starters, assuming McKay is back in the starting lineup.

McKay- Mickelson
Niang- Ellis
Nader- Traylor
Thomas- Manning
Morris- Mason

I'd say Iowa St has got to find a way to get out and run right away. Make Mickelson, Traylor, and Manning try to keep up. In the half court, try to isolate Nader with Traylor on him, and crash the offensive boards, because I don't that ku lineup running the floor too well.

Ehhh, I don't really believe in "funks." You are, who you are. I think it's more about who you're playing, and how you match up.

I was going to post something similar. KU was playing well until the game in Ames and played pretty poorly after. They are now playing better than they were before Ames. ISU on the other hand has had a rough patch and while we have seen improvement, they haven't beat a top half team since they started to show life.

The matchup to exploit is Manning. Defensively Matt could help off of him as well.
