ISR Bowl talk

Alamo has climbed the ladder in bowl level. Just like the cotton bowl is once again huge after falling down a few pegs, it now has a semifinal. Bowls move up and down in prestige due to payout and selection order.

The holiday used to be fairly high but that is falling down. It’s cycles. Does anyone want to go to the sun bowl lately?

I keep seeing this from Hawk fans on Twitter, they don't understand the matchups changed (for the better) in 2014.

The fact that Iowa has been to better bowls and has much more success than ISU makes their jealousy ten times more hilarious. It's not our fault no one is excited about the 10am new years day game that will probably have about 25 total points scored.

It is an 11 a.m. central time zone game. I'm fine with that. The Fiesta Bowl is a noon central game this year.

Thought it was 11 am eastern? Doesn’t matter lunch unless you turn on the TV an hour late and miss the 40 yards of offense in the first quarterbacked.

Not sure why it is so hard to just agree that Iowa and ISU are in similar tiered bowl games this year.

Agree they are in the same general tier. I think a lot comes down to the experience also. I like how everything is right there for the Alamo. Park and walk everywhere. No driving or Uber needed.

Not sure how the citrus lays out, but Orlando has a good set up to get around. Not sure where the stadium falls. Favorite ride for me was the rockin roller coaster. Will have to hit it a couple times if you haven’t already if you go to the bowl.

Iowa is playing in Tampa. Both San Antonio and Tampa offer plenty to do.

I thought I read somewhere that MS State opponents scored a TD on only 25% of trips to the Case IH DuPont now Corteva red-zone. Yikes, that is a low number.

Will be by far the toughest defense Iowa has played all year. Could make a strong argument that Miss. St. has the best defense in CFB.

This guy is a moron. Yes, it is ISU best bowl ever. Yes, Iowa has gone to better bowls than ISU. Why is he mad/confused?

I get a kick out of that. But the Outback ought to be called the Forgetta Bowl.

That there are any Hawk fans un-ironically talking up that bowl because it is played on New Years Day warms my soul, because they are the only ones who think it's even a thing.
