ISR Bowl talk

I think that both Montgomery and Butler will go, and they probably should (assuming they get decent draft grades). But it would really surprise me if either of them skipped the bowl game. Neither are really wired like that IMO....especially Montgomery and Butler already said he is playing.

He'd be a big loss. No Iowa RB's are testing the waters?

Don't think so. Will this be the year that ISU breaks the streak of no players drafted, what about the no players drafted in the first round streak?

This should be the 42nd straight year Iowa has at least one player drafted.

I would think ISU would have a player drafted this year. Nobody in the first round though

I think he'll get drafted but I also thought Lazard would too so what do I know
It helps that Peavy has been with the current staff as long as he has. IMO, had Lazard had all 4 of his years with our current staff, I think he would have DEFINITELY been drafted.

This guy is a moron. Yes, it is ISU best bowl ever. Yes, Iowa has gone to better bowls than ISU. Why is he mad/confused?

He's mad and confused because people are paying attention to ISU instead of Iowa. ISU Twitter is full of hawkroaches jumping in and trying to get attention for Iowa.
Sadly a lot of Iowa fans have their self worth tied to the hawks being better than ISU. They grew up talking down to friends who were ISU fans because Iowa won 15 games straight in the rivalry. Since then they are having a hard time handling that Iowa is about 50/50 against "lowly ISU".

A few years ago they were in the Rose bowl and no one was paying attention to ISU. Now Busch Light is latching onto the ISU fanbase to make money and hawk fans have to pipe up to say that they drink way more Busch Light than ISU fans.

Some people can't stand when someone else gets praises or attention. It doesn't help that ISU has a popular and promising young coaching staff and Iowa has a very consistent, but also very boring coach.

Hawk fans can't wait until Campbell leaves and talk endlessly about him leaving at the first opportunity. They can't fathom that he might actually stay and bring new levels of success for ISU.

It's all about ego. The media isn't currently stroking their ego so they are salty and petulant.

I'd be surprised if Montgomery leaves early. Butler should go.

I actually think DM seems like the type to put graduating as a very important aspect.

But if he somehow ends up projected super high, he should get the money now.

I'd think Butler's inconsistency on the shot routes would be a red flag for now.

I agreed. DM should go because of his age and the life of RBs. He can always finish it later. I could see Butler jumping and DM staying even though I think it should be the other way. Love Butlers ability to spread the field, but the drops are holding him back.

Are Hok fans really making the Busch Light thing happen?

That's hilarious.

Fwiw neither fan base should be proud to drink that but that's just me, haha.
