Good luck to you guys Saturday. So lets compare units.

QB Toss-up, both are good
RB Iowa, Hawks have a lot of depth
OL Iowa, too much talent on Iowa's Oline
WR Iowa, Hawks have loads of talent and depth
TE Iowa, enough said


DL Iowa, Iowa State gave up 200 plus yards rushing against the Bison
LB Iowa, Hawks once again stacked at LB
DB Toss-up lean Iowa. Cyclones gave up a lot of yards last year.


Special teams Iowa State

What are your thoughts?
 
You gotta be kidding me with RB and WR..we own them in both...A-Rob has as much talent then adam and paki put together..sedrick, darks, hamilton..need i go on?!?

Are you serious?! They are already down on their #4 RB, aren't they? Their depth is used up! I don't see how a sane person would say Iowa has the advantage in any of those categories...tie at best.

Just wondering if you have been over to HN or HR and have seen what they are saying about your Rb's? Or did you even watch the game? We had 3 guys, including our QB average over 4.6 ypc. Iowa average 2.8 as a team, and that includes 1 16 yard run by your FB and 1 28 yarder on a reverse.

Keep drinkin buddy. Just save a little for Saturday afternoon.

QB- Very slight advantage to ISU.
RB- ISU.
WR- ISU
OL- Iowa
TE- Iowa

DL- Iowa
DE- Iowa
LB- Iowa
CB- Push. Spievey is the best on the field but ISU has the better 1-2 punch
S- Push. Sash is the best on the field but ISU has the better 1-2 punch

Special Teams
Slight ISU. Kickers and Punters are a push but ISU has better return game

ok maybe a bit harsh but since u for some reason think Iowa has more depth at running back than we do means u have no knowledge of cyclone football and you are only going off of what u saw from us last year.

might be one of the worst 1st posts ive seen. get some facts buddy
 
You know, if I were to guess, I'd say that this is someone posing as a Hawk fan and posting a totally ridiculous assessment to get everyone fired up.

It's likely to work. Maybe we should use some restraint here.
 
So who does Spievey go against on Sat? Im sure he will take that guy outta the game, but will they play nickel a lot? Sounds like they did play quite a bit more last year. Iowa's other CB is green and vulnerable from what it sounds like. I'm betting Sed and Darks will be full strength, so someone might have a huge game, its just a question of whom.

to get involved in the TE arguement i believe to most fans Moeaki looks like the better pick now but give collin a week or two to show that he is going to be a possible 2nd team (maaaaaybe 1st team) all conf player. Collin is the real deal jsut needs a few more games to show how he does things
 
QB - I'll take proven Arnaud over unproven Stanzi
RB - ISU and it's really not even close. A-Rob, Schwartz and Williams would all be starting at Iowa at this point, IMO
OL - Depends on who plays....I think it's pretty close to being a toss up though, maybe slight edge Iowa.
WR - ISU
TE - closer than you might think. Slight edge Iowa. I'm still not sold on Moeaki though.

DL - Iowa
LB - I'd give the advantage to Iowa, but I don't know that they match up too well against the spread. Functionally speaking, I think it's a tossup, though I'd say Iowa has the better unit overall.
DB - ISU. We might not have worldbeaters back there, but this is clearly a weakness for Iowa.

Special Teams - leaning ISU. We have a great punter, a good field goal kicker, and we seem to be fielding kicks finally. That being said, Iowa did show up on special teams last week.
 
How in the hell, other than being a complete homer, could you give Iowa the advantage at running back and even receiver???

I agree Iowa's line is better and TE is close, but Moo-yaki gives Iowa the edge - the guy is a gamer.
