No, this is idiotic. We already have a stat that controls for number of shots attempted - we call that FG %. Improvement in FG% then reflects all other changes. Why didn't you quote me Marble's FG%s? (Hint: I already know the answer to that one.)

Back to my original point. Fran can't recruit outside of Iowa. Sioux City doesn't count because that is essentially Iowa.

Iowa is not going to be more athletic than most of the teams they play, but they have been able to offset that on most occasions with their great length, defense, and rebounding. Increased athleticism would be nice, but it isn't necessary for Iowa to make the jump to the NCAA tournament next season. Improved three point shooting IS a necessity if Iowa wants to reach the tournament.

Fran has only had three recruiting classes, one of which consisted of only one player. If I were you I would reserve passing judgment on his recruiting abilities until after this class is over. Iowa could very easily put together another top 20 recruiting class this year, and none of the recruits will be from Iowa.
