Yep. The only reason he covers ISU at all is to **** on them and try to stoke the rivalry for his terrible show. This is a perfect grievance for him. He is not covering ISU in good faith and never has.

This goes back to a previous point, when your team loses you have to feel sad and not allow the sadness to turn to anger, I think Todd is not allowing sadness to be felt [he also had something personal happen] in this case. He should be sad ISU didnt allow the press pass, not mad. Todd didnt sound right on the radio, almost like he was fake smiling yesterday.

I think the last part is where this emotion is coming from… a weekend in Chicago was taken away from him (and maybe also a close person to him)… because the emotional response is outbalanced here…. I think he had a promise out there for a weekend in chicago.

Per his Twitter, "it's expensive to go to Milwaukee and pay for a hotel (and he was covering an ISU watch party in CR). He has family/friends in Chicago he could stay with while covering Iowa State".

So you are correct.

To me this is the key point, if he would have called ISU ahead of Milwaukee and said hey, if you make it to Chicago can I get a press pass... This sways me a bit toward ISU on this one.

He probably didn't think he'd have to do that, figuring ISU didn't have a chance of advancing to Chicago and/or figured Iowa would have no problem doing so.

I mean...one could look at it as ISU treats him better than he deserves and he goes on the air and starts talking ISU up so ISU benefits from the relationship. But living in the Cedar Rapids area for as long as I have...creating Iowa State fans around here is tough! And hearing Todd occasionally...most of his complimentary remarks regarding Iowa State are usually backhanded in nature.

I don't know. Now that I know he hasn't covered a single ISU game all year, and now he wants to go hang with this buddies in Chicago he is really pissed about the credential. I don't care to be honest.
