I don't think anyone is saying IA or ISU needs to play two non con P5s every year but if Notre Dame were to call us up, I'd sure hope we'd play them.

Multiple Big Ten schools do this with Notre Dame.

Not at all, legitimately surprised. Scheduling four non P-5 games for home and homes in the next 8 years is a bold move for sure.
I know the H/Hs with Ohio, Bowling Green and Akron a few years ago were done in part for the Ohio recruiting pipeline so those guys could play a game closer to home.

I would do another rent a win myself. Give the fans another home game and the AD another game for game revenue. But that's just me.
number of P5 games on Iowa's schedule this year, 2023, and 2024?

You guys all had us playing in the MAC a year ago... now we are evidently flush enough with cash to buy out contracts. What a time to be alive.

I mean play at Ohio or play at home and pay UMass and Troy some ungodly sum.

It’s insane how high and mighty Iowa fans think they are. Also Eickholt tweeting this is funny as hell. Tremendous content from a 247 guy. I couldn’t imagine Nick Osen doing something like this, and that’s because he wouldn’t.

What P5 schools are wanting to agree to a home and home with Iowa? Arizona again? Pittsburgh again? Colorado? Syracuse? Oklahoma? I highly doubt the top 25% of each P5 conference or Notre Dame is really that interested in playing at Iowa. What would it benefit those other teams except potentially beating another P5 team that will have an inflated record because they get to play a BiG West schedule?

I think something like that caliber would be expected. I don't expect Iowa to be able to play the NDs of the world, but could see a Florida St. or Miami type team in the south, maybe a UNC or South Carolina type team on the east coast and maybe a Washington or something on the west coast. I don't think those teams are outside the realm of possibility.
