It happens everywhere. It wasn't wrong of a Iowa, just hilarious that they thought they could try to get Lazard to switch when he's said negative things about Iowa
Which is understandable for a random fan to think that, but when you're the head coach of a D1 football program you don't grandstand like that. Not when you're talking about something your program does as well. You can't blame any major program for continuing to recruit an elite athlete who is 17 or 18 years old no matter what the situation is. No other head coach is going to chastise Rhoads for wasting his time recruiting players who have given verbal commitments. Why? Because it's unprofessional and it's childish.
