In memoriam of Brian Ferentz as Iowa's OC

I would have preferred Johns, but what the hell do I know about OC's

In six years as Western Michigan’s coach, Lester went 37-32. From 2018-21, Lester supervised an offense that ranked in the top 35 nationally in total offense each year.

Let’s add they got outscored by ranked teams 92-0. They beat a bunch of average to below average teams. Yes ISU was one of them.

Big 10 West is a. Quad 5 division.
Guys, I know. It was sarcasm. Kirk told the media all year "well we won 10 games last year this way," and he bitched about the invalid fair catch signal for a solid month after that game. So you already know what's coming if people dare to question his hire this year.

What about 2022?

Do people not remember that Iowa won 10 games last year? Would have won 11 if not for the most egregious officiating error in all of sports history?
and I have seen they are projected to win at least 10 next year and be in the 12 team playoff field.

Honestly…. would Paul Chryst been much better though?

Yes, this is a bad hire, but Chryst is also a well known 3 yds and a cloud of dust kind of offensive minded guy.

Iowa is touting his high flying offense in a four year period, forgetting that one of those years was in 2020, when WMU played only 6 games, winning four. And that he never won the MAC west.
