Quality wins do that. The tournament is for winners.

Ranking gets them a higher RPI to build off.

I said it before, and this loss justifies it... This years Iowa team has a very similar resume to last year. The difference? Unwarranted media hype early on getting them in the rankings most of the year.

I really think their irrationally stupid KenPom rating helps them a ton in the AP poll, AP voters site it all the time in their blogs. They're five spots ahead of MSU and 16 spots ahead of ISU, right next to 25-5 Wisconsin, it's completely insane that people follow it.
