If panthers win today...

If Wich St was any other MVC team would they be on the wrong side of the bubble?

I certainly don't see how their resume says 7 seed as Lunardi has them with a 47 RPI.

If you say RPI doesn't matter as much and it's who you beat and how you're playing lately, UNI should be seeded much higher than WSU.

I haven't looked at their resume, but I seem to remember they had some.pretty significant injury issues early in the season. That can make them a real wild card in terms of seeding.

The tables are turning for Gard to be offered a long term contract already.

Alvarez opened that job a couple of weeks ago...think it was basically so that Gard was the one candidate.
Alvarez originally didn't want to hire Gard but Ryan retired early and gave Gard a shot and basically forced Alvarez's hand.

Good job Panthers!

Question.... Yes, both Monte and Washpun extremely good and key to running their teams, but strictly in a 1-on-1 situation, is Washpun a tougher guard to defend? Probably not fair to compare tho, due to quality Big12 guards he must go up against every game.

Yep. Maybe Ryan needed to hold on as long as he did to make sure Gard was put in the interim position, but I've felt like he screwed UW a bit by not getting out in a more timely manner to let Gard get a few more games prior to conference.

This stuff about his affair may have had something to do with it too (well, it did, but the publicity of it may have been looming).

I don't know why you continue to degrade our players with your ******** "I don't mean to..."crap. Your act gets old.

I'd take monte any day of the week and twice on sunday over wes.

They did but when they got healthy they didn't exactly dominate the MVC.

It's tricky, they don't exactly have a great seed resume in the tournament, but no top 5 seed would want to draw them either.

Half of Monte's game is in making the rest of his team better and controlling the ball. I'd take Monte, but Wes is a load due to his physical abilities.

You need to lay off ! I've stuck up for our players and coaches a TON on this board! More than most in fact. As for Monte, my post said he's extremely good& faces top notch competition daily! I merely used it as a reference of the leaving early discussion. Meaning right now, in a 1-on-1 strictly situation, I take seniors Yogi or Washpun which is why I want Monte to return his senior season to do that even stronger, for HIS sake! Man, I love Monte as he does so much more. You, I don't love.

you've already said you have heard he is gone (with your usual...'I hope I'm wrong' shtick). So why bring it up?

Oh , right ..I'm the only one who had brought it up that heard the same but feel he would benefit by coming back. Sorry, guess I should have checked with the message board God first. Geez. Go Clones, beat OU!

The Panthers are probably looking at a 13 or 14 seed. I hope they get Duke.

I understand there is no way it could happen, but I wish they would have a chance to play ku in Des Moines. They really seem to play well against good teams, it's too bad they didn't play well against bad teams and could have made that scenario happen.

Pretty amazing to think we did not lose a single game to any team that is not going to be in the NCAA tourney. Further that 9 of our 10 losses were to likely a 7 seed or higher. Really speaks to the strength of our league and overall schedule. Lastly, if you consider RPI UNI is the only team outside of the top 30. Huh......maybe we are better than we thought.

I could see them as the 13 and Iowa as the 4 seed.

Just curious, why would Iowa deserve a 4 seed? Just because they won at probably outside the bubble Michigan? All this after losing 5 of 6 conference games, 3 of which were to non-ranked teams.
