How far can Iowa go?

The kid was in the same HS gradation class as Purdy, its his 4th year in the system, 2nd as a starter, and the only throws he can make are those that a very good HS player can make. Seam throws to the TE and the running back wide open up the field are not difficult throws to make, neither is the fake the run left, roll right and hit the crossing the field. He is what is, a game manager, that still has way to many poor throws when people are wide open. He has been told over and over I am sure do not force a throw into even tight coverage, that is why he rarely throws an INT, he gets little or no scramble yards if the play breaks down. He does run the QB sneak well.

There is going to be a game or two this year, were he is going to have to win the game for EIU, and when that happens, they are going to be in trouble.

He threw a beautiful TD pass against your own team. You are right that he is still inconsistent (he airmails a lot of intermediate routes outside the numbers), but to claim that the only throws he can make are throws that a very good HS QB would make is just unbelievably stupid. You may have the biggest anti-Iowa bias of any poster on this site, which is really saying something.

He is in his 4th year at EIU, and he struggles making passes that most college starters should make on a regular bases. Your own fan base is saying the same things I am. That is not anti-bias towards EIU, just the truth. He plays because he does not turn the ball over, nothing more nothing less. I have coached many HS player that could throw a seam pass when the kid is wide open, its one of the easiest passes for a QB to throw. He only has to worry about leading the receiver to the inside, and away from the defender. But you knew that.

And anyone, defending his play, is clueless about football and the role of a quarterback, which you have been doing for awhile.

One question, why are you posting here? The ISU/EIU game was a month ago, but you are still here talking up the virtues of EIU. Go back to your own board and enjoy the circle jerk going on there.

Brodie0, Clueless as always.

So it's safe to say you don't think Tyler Goodson is very bright?
Tyler seems like a bright kid. I’ve met his family and they seem bright too.

My main issue with Tyler is he misses cutback lanes on the zone. I think he has incredible anticipation, speed and quickness. But he doesn’t have the best vision.

He has poor decision making on the football field. He also doesn't have incredible speed lol

A lot of the dancing was because the o line was getting their **** pushed in. He had nowhere to go. He also can’t see the holes.
