How far can Iowa go?

With this logic, he already orchestrated 3 scoring drives, 2 being TD’s. For every pick he threw, he would score a TD and we know Iowa’s offense can’t produce tea at that rate so no, Iowa wouldn’t have won even with that.

I love how Iowa always loses games in ISU’s fans coulda, shoulda, woulda world. ISU woulda won “if” they didn’t turn it over 4 times. USC woulda won “if” Slovis didn’t get hurt. Maryland woulda won “if” Dumas didn’t get hurt. Penn St. Woulda won “if” Clifford didn’t get hurt.

Unfortunately for ISU fans, their delusional woulda world doesn’t actually exist.

It's not their fault we suck and screwed up their strength of schedule. It was supposed to be a much better game.
I think by end of season you won't have screwed up the SOS. Iowa state always gets better as the season goes on and I can't see them being worse than 8-4 and in the 23-25 playoff ranking area possibly fringe top 10 if they win out in regular season. That's a tall task though. Point being Iowa State victory will look better and better.

When one assumes Clifford would’ve thrown more picks, then it’s fair to assume he would also have had more TD drives, no?
The bottom line is that it’s ok to say, the back up made the game easier for Iowa. It’s ok to say things weren’t looking good for Iowa whej Clifford was in. However, ego gets in the way and can’t look or admit objectivity.

Iowa was down 17-10 when Roberson entered the game. Acting like a football game is over because one team is up 17-10 is just dumb. We have no idea what would have happened if Clifford stayed in the game. He showed he could make some plays, and showed he could also cough it up.

It was technically 17-3. We don't know what would've happened if he stayed in the game, but if you looked into the game like I did, you would see that Penn State was really good at moving the ball this year. Better than previous opponents (including Iowa State.) With that, it was clear they knew how to attack the Iowa D. Without the terrible field position the whole second half by the backup, chances aren't good Petras puts together long consistent drives since he hasn't shown he can do that.

But things that commonly happen in football games, happened in those games. And that may or may not have changed the outcomes.

So really there should be an asterisk by Iowa’s probable #2 ranking today, and ISU should be in the top 25.

They can't. Too many people get their full nutrition from the Ferentz glory hole (even some Clone fans, from what I've been reading since yesterday).

A lot of jealousy out there coming from ISU fans.

Like it or not, Iowa has a Top 5 resume and has taken care of business. It may not always be pretty but they win. Are they the second best team in the country? LOL, no. But outside of Georgia, who has a better resume right now?

How many posts did you have on Iowa sites last year? Or during any of the ncaa tournament runs in basketball?
