How far can Iowa go?

We can’t control how well the teams on our schedule are playing any more than you can. lets look at strength of schedule on Sagarin on Monday and see how our schedules so far compare.
According to the EIU fan base,EIU is one of the best 20 football programs in all of college football. Rating wonders, so are going to play, the its not up to us card, to explain why you rarely play Ohio State? How about asking the conference if you guys could play them more often, show them the data, EIU is in the top 20 in money coming in, top 10 sending players to the NFL, and all the rest of the crap you guys throw out there. Then NUT UP, tell the league, you are playing OSU more than twice a decade.

Its a premium matchup according to EIU fans, so I would think the league would jump at the chance, that is unless the Buckeye's would oppose it, which it doubt. So why would EIU not do it, because they rarely beat them Freerents 2 and 9 against them, avoiding playing them is the goal, not beating them.

IOWA the Fake ID of College Football, one big 10 west championship since it was created, and that team lost in the championship game, same number as ISU.

Playing everyone in the Big12 is a good thing for ISU. Over the last 3 non * COVID years ISU has only had to play 9 games vs teams that finished ranked in the top 25 AP poll in conference play. Over those same non * COVID years Iowa has played 11 teams that finished ranked in the top 25 AP poll in conference play.
ISU has played OU 4 times in those three years, how many times has EIU played Ohio State?

You seem upset.

I don't blame ESPN going to the two new SEC teams game. They wanted another opportunity to troll the hell out of the Big12 and pump the hell out of the new SEC that they own.

Surprised ISU fans are happy about this one????

I'm happy anytime Iowa fans get all triggered because they aren't as important as they think they are.

I hate OU and Texas.... but they will ALWAYS be way more important than Iowa in football.... and ESPN knows that.

So who has EIU beat that is that good then? 2- 3 Indiana or 3-2 ISU? I forget what juggernauts Colorado State and Kent State are. You will play one team this year with a winning record in conference worth a damn in Penn. St, again miss OSU, MSU and Michigan, and then come on here crowing that EIU is worthy of the playoff because they had 10 or 11 wins.
Repeat of your 2015 season.

Let me ask you one question, why doesn't EIU nut up and ask the conference to schedule playing Ohio St a little more often, I mean Freerents has been at EIU for 23 years and has only played them 11 times going 2-9. If EIU is such a force in the conference, I am sure the Big 10 would want such a major match up played more than once every 3 or 4 years like it has been for the past 10 seasons.

You can sit there and ask the Big Ten Conference to schedule it however you would like all you want....and it will fall on deaf ears. Teams have no say on how they schedule it. I will agree Iowa has lucked out lately by not playing Ohio St very much, but it sure as hell ain't their fault.

I guess they’ll just have to settle fo

Yeah that’s a bummer. They’ll still get plenty of spotlight as a #3 vs #4. And if they beat PSU they’ll be talked about every single weak as a playoff contender.

I just hope the players can stay focused with all the attention.

Why won’t you answer simple questions?

we all know because it’s because you have no problem with what happened to all those kids.

but why are you a liar?

This doesn’t bother me even a little. I don’t think Iowa is a blue blood program. There is only so much room at the top.

Being known as a solid, winning, Top 25 college football program that challenges the blue bloods feels great.

Someday they’ll throw the BIG 12 a bone and do the Cincinnati vs BYU game. That’ll probably turn into the biggest rivalry game in the new BIG 12.

Think it's as much a curse as it is to be in the spotlight. Plus Iowa already has the better pre-show coming in Fox.

Especially for programs that aren't in the limelight 24/7. The Bamas and tOSUs and Clemsons probably shrug it off with zero distractions. Not as easy to do for most others.
