How about that Thomas kid?

His defense is greatly improved. Glad to see him have a solid half and hopefully a solid all around game.

A good shooting game from him will probably go a long way to help his confidence.

It looks like Fred has put some effort into getting him some looks too.

I honestly think his shooting slump was affecting his defense. He made a couple early today and his defense has looked DRASTICALLY better. He's going over the top of screens and not losing his man. I like.

He's been less hesitant today. Great to see. Any time he gets space to get a shot up he needs to launch it.

For the people that were are freaking on him, he's playing his role this year. There are four studs starting with him. He doesn't need to be dominant. His defense hopefully continues to improve and he can continue to pick his spots on o. There will be a game where I think his shooting will be the difference this year but it's nice to not have to rely on a freshman starter to lead the team in anything

MT's meal ticket is to make outside shots. If he starts to do that like Long has been, that would be huge for this team. When we start to go up against bigger front-courts and better defense, we will need multiple guards to be making outside shots.

He is fulfilling his role nicely. We don't need him to score. We just need him to knock down open 3's, take care of the ball, and not be a liability on defense. He's improving on defense and does everything else pretty well. His shooting will come along. He's not Scotty, and he really doesn't need to be. Maybe in a few years, but not this year.

He's also the one who gets hung out to dry when we attempt to double. Tech deserves some credit for ball reversals. Back side big man has to help cover the back side so it isn't an open three from the corner.
