Good for him?
Yup, it is. I just thought it was funny how people thought this was such a stupid notion before the season.

Your conference slate hasn't even started yet. Lets save the backslapping for now.
I won't deny that the Big Ten schedule will be much tougher on him. But it's hard to deny he's a much improved QB this season.
what was his stats last year in non-con? can you at least provide some facts to support your opinion?

If I really cared I'd probably go to a hawkeyes message board to discuss it. Thanks for the info though.
The stats are skewed by playing three home games against awful teams.
If either you or ISU BET actually didn't care then you wouldn't be spending time reading threads in the rivals section to begin with.
While I agree with almost everything you've said, I should point out it has been pretty prominent in the news lately the library is not relocating to the former Gazette building.By some hawk fans I am pretty sure I can find some that called 0-11 and some that called 11-0. Hell, I bet I could find some that were calling for another great return to the Peach Bowl. (and I know just which bar in Walford to look in)
As for the article you have a biased newspaper pandering to the local crowd in order to keep enough subscriptions to hold on to their crappy building for one more year until the Cedar Rapids City Council gives them a sweet buyout deal for the library space. That and Hlas has a hard-on for his plauge in Kinnick. But hey, you keep on believing everything you read from the great and mighty Gazette/KCRG.
you can come on here and talk about how great stanzi is when he puts up numbers against real competition. the one quality opponent Iowa has played this year (arizona), stanzi didn't look so good.
I'm not spouting off about how great he is. Keep asked for stats from Stanzi's OOC games, so I provided them.
I'm just pointing out that he's on his way to reaching Hlas's prediction, and all of the sudden, it's not as ******** as some people thought it was.
And, for the record, Stanzi was still 18-33 at AZ, with 278 yds and 3/1 TD/INT for a 149 QB rating. Not HORRIBLE by any stretch.
A 3-year starter with the best group of skill position players Iowa's seen in a long time. They go 3-deep at RB and DJK, McNutt Davis are the best trio of WRs Iowa's EVER had.
I don't think it's ridiculous at all.
I will also add that the coaching staff has done a good job of adjusting their play calling for Stanzi. Calling routes he is able to complete, it seemed last year they forced more over the middle and long ... maybe I am off base, but the offensive calling looks more like 2002 with Banks and playing to his strengths than of last year.
That, IMO, has drastically helped Stanzi ..... and credit to him for executing.
