Hlas prediction for Stanzi

Agree. Stanzi isn't that much different of a QB, the WRs and better playcalling have a huge roll in his improvement. That being said, if his numbers stay improved throughout the year, he's got the size to make an NFL team in some capacity next year... which is pretty cool if you think about how he got to where he is right now.

Nope... sorry, I don't think that will be the case at all. He is better than Banks, but not that different from him.

You honestly don't think a 6-4 QB with good arm strength, 3 years of starting experience, and very solid Senior year numbers won't even sniff the NFL?

Couldn't disagree more.

Only from row 23 ... sorry, he isn't NFL material.

Mike Hlas' prediction for Stanzi in 2010 is 27 TDs and 7 INTs. I'm not saying he's high on crack or anything. I just figured somebody ought to record this for future discussions.

His 2009 stats were 17 and 15.

Well at the half way point RS has 13 TD's and 2 INT's with games left against some teams with bad defenses like Indiana and Minnesota and average D's in NW and Wisconsin.

Also tied for second in the nation in quarterback rating. Rick is looking pretty impressive this year so far. Coaches seemed to really stress taking care of the ball and not forcing it this year.
Lets hope he can keep up the consistency. If he gets close to the numbers Hlas predicted, Iowa is going to be in pretty good shape.

From what I can tell he seems to be much more willing to check it down this year which I think has helped him in the interception category.

The Stanzi/Arnaud debate is looking kinda one sided right now. To be honest, I'm not sure how much worse Stanzi could possibly be than Arnaud in Herman's offense.

And to think of the time people wasted trying to argue that AA was the better QB. There were what, six threads about this from April to August?

Hlas may have shortchanged Ricky. He is currently at 19 TDs and 2 Ints.

I would have guessed closer to last years 17/15 than the predicted 27/7...he is having a solid year thus far.
