Lol, not even remotely true, we owned West Virginia when Hoiberg was here, even beat them in Morgantown a couple times if my memory is still good.
It will take more than one less than good season to ruin Hilton Magic....relax!
I am very willing to give Prohm at least a couple more years to get his guys in place, and see what he can do. My main concern with him right now is what I see with his in-game moves with the rotation and leaving guys on the floor when they are clearly not producing or are out of control too often (Burton).
I give Prohm something of a pass still because he is still dealing with mostly Fred guys.....and who knows what is in there head? Do they accept Prohm as the coach, or are they still wishing Fred was here? It is also clear that Naz is not the player he was a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if he is still not 100% healthy or if he just was unable to get his outside shooting skills back for whatever reason. But, he has regressed from what he was at one time.
I also give Prohm a pass because the plan was to have both Lard and Malou on the floor for this season. Unfortunately, we all know what happened there. Now, if he could have done more to get those situations to work out in ISU's favor, I don't know.........but he did have the players committed, and and no one can say that those two guys would likely not make a substantial difference for this team.
I'm much more disappointed in the performance and inconsistency of multiple experienced senior players on this team than I am in the coaching staff. There is no reason these guys should be playing this poorly, imho.
Her's what I'm wondering with Naz. When he's over in the Sukup complex firing three's is he fading back into the bench every time he fires one up or is he standing there waiting for the machine to feed him another ball? Maybe it seems like it's to simple of a fix but maybe he needs to try following through with his shot instead of the whole fade back routine.
I went back and looked at some video of Naz from his sophomore year. It seems that on all of his outside shots back then, he was either stepping into the shot or going straight up. I don't know if the fade away now is because of the surgery or if he just does not realize he is doing it. You would think someone on the coaching staff would notice, but maybe they don't pay that much attention to it..........who knows.
It's to be expected. There's been a major bandwagon effect for the past three years. Looking forward to getting back in to the season ticket pool in the next couple of years.
Just so you guys know, we're going to lose Saturday and everyone will be all 'the sky is falling'. Then we're going to win 7 in a row and everyone will be 'final four bound'.
I could use some drops in attendance, been stuck in the 12th row balcony for 4 years.
It emptied out a LOT more than usual last night, starting about 5 mins to go. Including Cyclone Alley.

To be fair it hadn't been very good this year. Last night was by far the best environment this year.bump.
Are we still pouring one out for Hilton Magic?
bump.

fair or not, being hyperbolic enough to declare it dead always needs to be called out as ridiculous and silly. To be fair it hadn't been very good this year. Last night was by far the best environment this year.
Baylor was good. Had to be just as good as last night. To be fair it hadn't been very good this year. Last night was by far the best environment this year.
Of course this gets bumped. Last 2 games have been great but most of the year has been mediocre tbh
