Heat wave

When I went to Charleston, I golfed Kiawah Island in 99 degree temperatures with high humidity. Drank 5 gatoraids and two waters and never peed once.

Yeah, it just take it out of you. The one that will sneak up on you is riding a motorcycle. You don't think you are sweating and aren't that hot, but it's because everything is just sucked out of you.

I generally prefer extreme heat to extreme cold, but there's one big, big draw back:

Having to be dressed up. Having to be dressed up in the heat is the worst thing ever. No matter what I do, I'll be drenched in sweat.

Yeah, that would suck. I wear jeans to work and that in itself gets old. I can't imagine having to wear a suit or something.

When I preach in Jamaica, I wear a suit. If it's going to be twice, we bring two suits, because I sweat through everything.

Just officially passed the century mark here in south central iowa, first time since 2006. Temp now at 100.1 and climbing. Looking at the heat index map for the US and most of the worst of it is right over IA and some of Minn.

Not if you know what's good for you......

Slowly backs away

Just checking in from Texas. It currently cooler actual temperature and heat index here.

It's been cloudy here a good part of the day, but still made it to 100.

For whatever reason, one of my cats absolutely loves this weather. She just lays out on the patio and sleeps all day in the shade.
