Its upcoming as of Saturday the 16th but looks nasty. According to Accuweather 14 of the next 15 days look 93 or above with almost rain, hope they are wrong. This might be the hottest streak since 1988.

Why is that? For DFW, the average high in July is 96°F, and the average number of 100°F days in July is 6.
It would seem that neither rain or 93°F are likely anytime soon. I just took a vacation trip through Iowa and North Dakota. Green is a very beautiful color.
I will go ahead and second this. I work outside for a living and I hate this sticky nonsense.
It's only supposed to be 104 degrees here Tuesday. However, we did just have 5 inches of rain yesterday, so there's that.

At least without the rain our humidity has been pretty low. 100-105 for quite a while but not enough humidity to cause a higher heat index.
Exactly. When it's -10, I can keep adding layers and cranking up the heat to keep warm. When it's 100, I can only take off so much trying to cool down. Even then, it usually doesn't help.
What can I say, I'm a hot guy.
