Go Irish and Go Buckeyes!

This is how I hope things go down semi-realistically, if ISU has to finish 6-6.

Fiesta or Nat'l Championship: Oklahoma State 11-1
Some BCS bowl: Kansas State 10-2
Cotton: Oklahoma 9-3
Alamo: Texas 8-4
Insight: Baylor 8-4
Holiday: Iowa State 6-6
Meineke Car Care: Texas A&M 6-6
Pinstripe: Missouri 6-6 (go KU!)

If Tech and UT both beat Baylor and they finish 7-5, we could hop them as well. Better root for the 'Horns against BU anyway since we will not get picked ahead of Texas regardless. Also I'm pulling for KU to give the Holiday Bowl no reason to pick Mizzou over us. Hopefully the conference protects us and the SEC'ers get picked last as it should be.

Best case scenario could be Insight Bowl again. Holiday is a very good option though that has a decent shot.

If we do beat OU and/or KSU, it may not make a difference, because even though we would knock the Big 12 down to just one BCS team, we'd also probably pass Baylor on the pecking order, and so we'd end up in the Holiday Bowl anyway. Baylor could get sent to New York at 8-4 or even 9-3 and Misery would find their own at-large bid in a non-affiliated bowl. It helps to travel well, and it helps even more that Baylor has no fans to travel for them. I would rather not have to worry about that, especially if BU is 9-3... never know what's going to happen. 2 Big 12 teams in the BCS would solve all of these issues.

How long will it take a BCS bowl to decide between a 10-2 Michigan team and a 10-2 K-State team? Eight seconds?

Better move everybody down a spot.

Fiesta: OU/OKSt winner
Cotton: OU/OKSt loser
Alamo: KSU
Insight: UT
Holiday/Car Care/Pinstripe: some combination of Baylor, ISU, MU, and TAMU (plus one extra non-Big 12 bowl)

FWIW, I think Baylor's in NYC and ISU gets the non-affil. bowl. So long as everybody's bowling, it doesn't really matter.
