General (non-ISU) Wrestling Twitter/News Thread

I will not be showing that video to any of our young wrestlers
Certainly not advisable, but the biggest key to that reach back is securing a death grip on the opponent's front arm in that claw ride. Really allowed Rogotzke to gain control in that position.

But you're right, it's definitely not something a beginner should try hitting.

We've fought all of our beginners for 4 months on that...LOL....and then this college kid makes it look easy...damn kids

If I could, I'd first fully fund ISU's wrestling program and facility and then would take care of UNI. Schwab has really grown on me and I like those guys. Truthfully can't handle the rest of the college, but I do like that wrestling program

UNIs funding issues go pretty deep. Hence their hiring announcement this week.

I know a couple people on that committee. Good folks, genuinely love UNI. I hope this all works out for them.

When I win the lottery, ISU wrestling will be taken care of. But I’ll make it a priority to bring men’s and women’s wrestling to Drake. That Title IX casualty from 30 years ago still disappoints me.

Plott might end up being the 1 seed at 184 now. Starocci had to be helped off the mat after popping a knee earlier against Clarion.
Starocci's still at 174. Plot(t) has to go through Keckeisen. But he's had a great year. I wouldn't put it past him.

PSU fans think it may be his LCL
I’ve injured my LCL twice in similar knee-bend fashion. The first time it hurt like a ***** for over a month and I couldn’t hardly apply pressure to that leg. Lasted about 2 months before it recovered. The second time it lasted about a week to two weeks and it started improving. Both times there was a snap and felt like I blew my knee out.

Depending on severity he could be back then

Yes, depending on the degree of the tear or strain. I didn’t have an MRI done either time nor did I have the recovery resources or professionals helping out like he will have. The amount of care he will get to help alleviate swelling and pain will be second to none.

With the NCAA supposedly taking more of a stance on medical forfeits impacting seeding, if Cstar medicals out of Big 10s, does he drop from the 1 seed?

He won’t have an RPI if he forfeits out, will he? He only has 12 matches.

Going to be a VERY popular pick in the WrestleStat pools this year, I think.
