Crazy end to Wisconsin/Minnesota 133 match. In SV, Minny looked close to having a TD, but Wisky immediately rolled through, and put Minny on his back.

Ref gave Minny 3, but let the action continue, and gave Wisky 3, and Wisky ultimately pinned Minny.

After review, initial 3 for Minny was given, wiping out the pin.

Reaction time, and the wishy-washiness of the rule, strikes again.
They have figure this **** out….

Looks like they got it right. My vote would be to take away reaction time. It's too subjective for good refs to be consistent.
I agree about reaction time being too subjective. They may have gotten this one right in the end, but it was wild. While he may have gotten in right, this ref made some head scratching calls all night. Very quick to make some calls and made a match deciding call after there was no change in position for about 15 seconds. It was “nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, 3” right before the 3rd period buzzer. Again, no change in position. Bizarre.

Dinged a kid for stalling immediately after said kid took a shot. No hyperbole. Kid shot, touched then knee of his opponent and BOOM! Stalling. Hit another kid for stalling 3 times and he never left the middle of the mat.

They did get this right in the end but It’s like we’ve removed all common sense from some of these calls.

This reaction time discussion “issue” is insane. Does it look like a TD? Does he look to have control? It’s like paralysis by analysis. They will never get all of the call 100% correct. But we are going backwards.

Some pretty intriguing duals today.

Mizzou/SDSU
Nebraska/Penn St
Okie St/OU

Some other good individual match ups will be Barnett/Ayala, Caliendo/Hamiti in the Iowa/Wisky dual.
