I was in Iowa City for the 2002 game. I remember walking to the car and an ISU fan walking by me had an Iowa fan come up and cold **** him right in the back of the head.

I trust him too but I hope he doesn't. If anything the media heat on this needs to be dialed back, not escalated, until we know exactly what did or did not happen.
Where do you tailgate at? Up by the stadium in the donor lot things are usually pretty much fine but get out into the neighborhood parking and things get interesting... I've had most if my issues actually in the stadium. I can handle verbal but when people start throwing stuff at you, that's where I draw the line.
Serious question here. Has anyone really heard Barta talk about this on camera? Has anyone ever heard Barta talk? All I ever hear is Barta said this, Barta said that, but never a camera shot of him talking. I've always wondered what he sounds like in person. Like this maybe??

I always wonder the same thing. I think a lot of it are just fabricated or embellished stories to try and make the other fan base look bad.

When you're part of a large group of people such as the band, which is very visible, creates a lot of sound, and you're wearing official ISU uniforms, you become an easy target. It's also not just at the games. The worst is outside either practicing or parading to the stadium.
I've been to several games as a fan and have only had to deal with mouthy, annoying hawk fans. Not even close to the same. Admittedly I've only attended games as a fan at ISU. I won't go to Iowa City.

The best thing Jamie can do is nothing on this topic until Barta actually has meat to his vague press release. JP just needs to keep promoting the new entertainment district and let that news take over. That'll get under Barta's skin more than anything.
Honestly if Barta is going to be a constant dousche over things like this band incident and the locker room theft maybe it really is time to end this thing. We don't need to put up with this ****. Maybe that's what Barta wants.
