IF true, why was it not properly reported contemporaneously with the incident. Look, I'm a former prosecutor, and I know that there can be reasons for delayed reporting of actual events, but this seems strange.
And why not report it to ISU officials/campus security? Was it the goal to keep these alleged horrific offenders in the general population where they could commit more atrocities?

When you have threads related to contests with Iowa that are often heavily populated by Hawkeye trolls, it makes sense to hide them behind an opt-in wall so that said trolls don't attempt to dominate the entire board. The message board is NOT dedicated to Iowa, it is "opt-in" to keep them from spreading.
