Gameday/Game Thread

I think he decided to teach #2 a lesson. I don't think he was running up the score, so much as teaching a young man a valuble lesson on why you don't late hit someone so bad that he flips over your bench.

You guys probably don't remember Gundy's first season as head coach at OSU like I do. But people ran the score up on us all the time. Yeah it got old, but the team got better and now they get to do it. It's a Dog eat Dog world. When the time comes, maybe your coach will be able to do it.

Just thank your little punk corner for that cheap shot. Because this is the first time I ever remember Gundy doing this to someone.

That has to be the dumbest post I've ever seen on this board.

You talking about the play on the first series of the game? If so, it was a borderline call, both of them were heading toward and over the bench.

I didn't watch the rest of the game, so please direct me to the play you're speaking of so I can watch it on my DVR.

Yeah, our #2 was riding an OSU player out of bounds. Their momentum kept them going, and the back took a pretty good shot into the bench as the ISU player tried to break free from the other guy. In live action it looked bad, slow motion, not as much. The ISU guy was trying to break free from the Cowboy. PF, yeah probably, but not blatant. Nothing worth crying about.

Gundy looked like a **** the whole game. He wasn't having fun today, and had to hurt recruiting. But whatever. Like the guy says what comes around, goes around. Fine by me. Looks like we own them in wrestling now anyways.

Nooo... winning and blowing people out.. That helps recruiting. He wants to win, kids will buy into it..

If you based recruiting on sideline reaction then Dan McCarney should of had numerous top 10 recruiting classes. No doubt about it... He always had a smile.. Clappy his hands and having mini pep rallies on the sidelines.

I vaguely recall the OSU guy had our guy's arm locked and had his pads grasped. Maybe there was a shove in there but it's not as if the OSU guy wasn't responsible for some of that contact going out of bounds.

LJ already made the International Herald Tribune...they're quick!

ISU's Johnson breaks kickoff return mark - International Herald Tribune

I really don't want to be negative, but, I can't helpt it. And especially, not to knock LJ, he is definitely one of the best we've had returning kicks in a long time at ISU. But to break that record, with 3 games left, says a lot more about our defense not stopping anyone. It really helps when you get 7,8 or 9 chances to return kicks a game.
