Gameday/Game Thread

I was going to hold my tounge, but now I won't.

You don't know a damn thing about Gundy. You want to judge him by the rant and this one game then that's your business. Truth is you are making conclusions about the man's character based on only knowing a few facts. I'm not going to say he's a saint or a sinner. I know TONS more about him than you do, but I still don't know him personally. Next time you make such statements of certainty try thinking how much you actually know about the situation or person.
Overreact much?

I also thought JC was on the Iowa roster?

Of the South schools, I usually cheer for OSU to win it in BBall and FBall. They also are a great rival to us in wrestling. Their fanbase have always seemed very tolerable whenever I have been around them. They always seem classy in KC for the tourney, and they don't seem to make themselves look like idiots on the internet either.

That being said, I thought Gundy looked like a fool today. ******** about seemingly everything, I didn't see a coach I would want to play for. Complaining about the helmet hit on our QB, can you imagine if it had been an ISU player hitting their QB? After last year's tirade, today just made me lose even more respect for him. Passing the ball up by nearly 40? Really? I know it is our job to stop them, but come on. What comes around goes around dude. They were winning that big, and it didn't even look like they were having fun, at least not the coaching staff.

Maybe all that Pickens cash is going to corrupt OSU. If today is any indication, it sure is going to be hard to root for them in the future.

Got nothing against OSU. Root for them all the time. Would rather see OSU with the South than OU, TX, or Tech.

Just a much better team than us.

Nope.

You leave your best players on the field in the 4th quarter when the game is by far out of reach just to run up the score, I have no pity when your best players go down in injury. Thus the whole point WHY any coach worth his paycheck pulls his best players out of a blowout in the 4th quarter.

Gotta agree here. Like when Stoops was still playing Perkins? as a returner against us in the 4th quarter of a blowout and got him hurt. I didn't really feel all that bad for him. It is both stupid and classless to play your starters late in blowouts.

The one I remember best is when Adrian Peterson broke his collarbone diving into the end zone against us in 2006 when they were already up by 4 TD's at the time, I think it was.

The announcers themselves couldn't believe the coach wouldn't pull his starters out of the game. I don't think they were going to feel sorry if an injury occurred either.

I think people vastly undervalue teaching a team how to run a team into the ground. You dont do it to rub anyones face into it. You do it to teach your team how to have a killer instinct. You make it a way of life around your football program. THATS why you do it.

Last year by this point in the season we were seeing a lot of improvement. Can't say the same this year.

I don't know why you would go to Oklahoma State if your a defensive player. Your coach doesn't give a rats *** about defense and he's hiding on the sideline doing stuff for the offense.

I dont get it, Gundy did nothing wrong.

He looked like a crybaby on the sideline. He was going to smoke the refs. He was a nig tough coach. He just looked like a 16 year old, not a coach. I have lost all respect for him. Stoops has more class.

I think he decided to teach #2 a lesson. I don't think he was running up the score, so much as teaching a young man a valuble lesson on why you don't late hit someone so bad that he flips over your bench.

You guys probably don't remember Gundy's first season as head coach at OSU like I do. But people ran the score up on us all the time. Yeah it got old, but the team got better and now they get to do it. It's a Dog eat Dog world. When the time comes, maybe your coach will be able to do it.

Just thank your little punk corner for that cheap shot. Because this is the first time I ever remember Gundy doing this to someone.

You talking about the play on the first series of the game? If so, it was a borderline call, both of them were heading toward and over the bench.

I didn't watch the rest of the game, so please direct me to the play you're speaking of so I can watch it on my DVR.
