Friday Beer Thread

Ill be looking for a guy drinking Coors light there then! :) You can find me being really ****** off when the dealer lands on 21.

You probably would have exploded a couple of weeks if you were playing with the dealer I had. One shoe he had 6 blackjacks in a row. That is a pretty fast way to turn a table against the dealer.

On topic: will probably try and clear some of the buds and coors out of our fridge.

Founder's Centennial is superb (a lot like 2-Hearted, which makes sense since they both use Centennial hops exclusively).

Green Flash is however, stellar stuff. Enjoy!

Anyone have a source for Centennial hops?
Amen to Green Flash - is this available now in Iowa?

Marathon brew session over the 4th. Doing 10 gallons of double IPA, 10 gallons Kolsch and 5 gallons of black IPA.

Is is 5 o'clock yet?

Going to the store after work to get some kegs for a party next week. Will also be picking up some for this weekend. I tried New Belgium Shift last week, and it may be the go-to summer beer for me. Also going to get some Dead Guy Ale, and some IPA but not sure which kind yet...

I'm attending a house warming party tonight. I will be carrying on 30 pack of Keystone Light. They can have the Keith Stone cardboard insert as a house warming gift.

I'm not sure what yet, but I have been on an IPA kick. I also am quite partial to Guinness. It may be a "cheap" beer night too since I'm going to mow then grill... (Bud or Coors Banq.)

Not great selections in the middle of nowhere though... I miss the Boulevard specialty brews I used to be able to get at hyvee when i lived in Ames.

Picked up 3 bottles of Great Divide's Chocolate Barrel Aged Yeti. One of the best chocolate beers and one of the best beers I've ever had.

Just spent 5 days in New Orleans. Abita is the big local brew here. Their Amber is very smooth and goes great with canjun and creole cooking.

Their "Purple Haze" wheat is my wife's favorite beer. I can't say I've had their Amber. That style goes good with anything though, I'm sure it was good with creole cooking.

Just picked up a pack of Free State's Summer IPA entitled StormChaser, fitting don't you think?

Unibroue. La Fin, Maudite, and Trois.
I was in Montreal one time with some buddies. The store around the block from where we were staying only had Unibroue as a a choice for beer. We played drinking games all night with that stuff. Ouch.
