Fred Hoiberg Infiniti Voting

Not much change in the percentages since this time yesterday so the voting must be pretty low so a good time to recruit some new voters for Fred. The percentages average from 96 to 102% total so they must be rounding up or down.

Since Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Painter has raised up from 24 to 25% and the Clemson coach from 1 to 2% and VCU's coach from 4 to 5% the rest of the coaches percentages have remained unchanged. Nearer the end of this round I expect more voting for coaches at the lower end of the voting to try and get their coach into the next round which can also affect Fred and Painter's percentages.

I vote every day and hope the rest of you will also. A vote for Fred is also a vote for ISU and the American Cancer Society of Iowa.

The only change in the voting since 11:30 last night has been the VCU and Stephen F. Austin coaches have increased their percentage by one while the Maryland coaches % has fallen from 3 to 2. That must mean not many people are voting in this round since there are fewer candidates and about the same percentages for the top two.

Please recruit new voters if you can and tell them the importance of voting every day, especially in the first day of the new round. Every day someone doesn't vote means we'll have to double the recruits to catch up should Fred fall behind.

VOTE TODAY & OFTEN!

Everyone needs to continue voting, and it wouldn't hurt to add email addresses or ask friends to help out as well.

The key in this event is to just advance. Fred is guaranteed $7500 for the Heart Association, just for making it into the start of this round even if he goes no further. Make it into the next round and he's guaranteed $10,000 even if that's the end. The round after that guarantees him $15,000 for making the final four. The only time it will count to be #1 is in the final round where one guy walks away with $100,000.

The strategy here is to continue voting in the manner we have until we reach a point where we need to create additional gmail or yahoo addresses to multiply our votes. IF people take the 5 seconds it takes to vote with two addresses, the same number of people will be able to double voting output when it becomes necessary. One can expect challengers to do the same as the benefit for doing so increases.

Obviously, with 16 coaches advancing this round, we do not need to bother with that just yet. But if a coach was on the bubble for the round of 16 with others around 2%, it would be a bigger deal for them to make the extra effort.

Our current voting trend indicates Fred is a lock for the final four and at least $15,000 for his charity. He and Painter will be the favorites to duke it out for the $100,000 in all likelihood. Keep your powder dry, and plan for a point in the contest where doing just a little more can mean serious moolah for Fred and the AHA.

This is not to mean participants can just relax and not vote, we all still need to do that. But not having Fred in first place is not necessarily a problem at this point, either.
